De serie, 100 Blikken op de Wereld, is ontstaan als een challenge op Instagram waarin Nicole zichzelf heeft uitgedaagd om in 100 kunstwerken verschillende perspectieven, structuren en emoties op de wereld vast te leggen. Van de ademende beweging van de natuur tot de gelaagdheid van tijd en vergankelijkheid – elk werk is een momentopname van hoe zij de wereld ziet en voelt.

Door middel van handgesneden stempels, etsen en prints heeft zij gespeeld met herhaling, textuur en kleur om verhalen te vertellen zonder woorden. Elk kunstwerk is een unieke vertaling van een thema, waarbij abstractie en detail elkaar afwisselen.

The series, 100 Views of the world, originated as an Instagram challenge in which Nicole challenged herself to capture different perspectives, structures and emotions of the world in 100 works of art. From the breathing movement of nature to the layering of time and transience – each work is a snapshot of how she sees and feels the world.

Using hand-carved stamps, etchings and prints, she has played with repetition, texture and colour to tell stories without words. Each work of art is a unique translation of a theme, in which abstraction and detail alternate.
